Tecaser 2026.5.0: Odometer Rollover, Rich Text Notes, One-Click Web App Updates

28 October 2026

Tecaser 2026.5.0 is live. Mileage stays right even when a vehicle's odometer rolls over to zero, your notes and comments can now be formatted, and the web app tells you when a new version is ready to load.

Odometers that roll over to zero

Older vehicles and trailer hub odometers have a limited number of digits: after 99,999 or 999,999 they start again from zero. Tecaser now knows this. Set the Odometer type on a vehicle model (5 digits, 6 digits, 7 digits or No rollover), and simply enter what the odometer shows.

  • Refuelling, service, handover, coupling and odometer forms ask for the Odometer reading, the value displayed by the vehicle's odometer, and show the previous reading as a hint.
  • After a rollover, Tecaser keeps counting: the vehicle screen and its timeline show the Total mileage, so mileage estimates and fuel consumption stay correct.
  • A reading the odometer could never display is caught right away.
  • Trailers that count their own mileage are treated as having a six-digit hub odometer. See the Truck & Trailer Coupling feature for how trailer mileage is tracked.

Format your notes

Remarks on vehicles, refuellings, fuel cards and fuel suppliers, Kanban task descriptions and comments now have a small toolbar: Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Bulleted list and Numbered list. Checklists and step-by-step instructions finally look the way you wrote them.

Update in one click

When a new version of Tecaser is ready, a card says "A new version of the app is available". Tap Reload to start it right away, or Later to finish what you are doing first. Tecaser never reloads on its own, so nothing you have typed in a form is lost.

Couple a trailer from the app icon

The installed web app has a new quick action: press and hold (or right-click) the Tecaser icon and choose Add vehicle coupling. A truck without a trailer now says so on its vehicle screen.

New fuel card? Import it without the conflict

Fuel suppliers replace cards when they expire. When you import a DKV statement in the Marketplace, tick New fuel card issued (disable the vehicle's previous card): Tecaser disables the vehicle's old card and adds the new one, and earlier refuellings stay with the vehicle. More about cards in Fuel Management.

Smaller improvements

  • Sharing a photo works in the browser too.
  • The maintenance report and the vehicle list now always show the same vehicle status.
  • Analytics and chat should feel smoother on busy screens.

Get the update

Open app.tecaser.techmetria.io and you get the new version, or tap Reload when Tecaser offers it. This release is for the web app; the mobile apps in the App Store and Google Play keep their current version for now.
